The latest “long term support” release of Ubuntu went live today: Ubuntu 14.04 “Trusty Tahr”. We’ve been importing the daily builds of all Ubuntu releases since back in May 2012, so Trusty has been available on Brightbox for weeks now.
We’ve just confirmed the final images and they’re now live and marked as “official” in our image library.
Ubuntu is easily the most cloud-ready GNU/Linux distro out there, with baked in support for our user data service, which gives you fine control over the bootstrap process.
So, spark up a new server and get playing with Trusty straight away. If you’re not already a customer, you can sign up in about 2 minutes with a free £50 credit and have a server booted in 30 seconds.
