Today we have two exciting Cloud Server pricing announcements…
Firstly, we’ve added a new “standard” tier of Cloud Servers, designed for more agile workloads and priced 40% lower than previous types, starting at just 1.5p per hour (approximately £10.95 per month).
They’re quicker to build (approx 30 seconds to ssh access!), quicker to snapshot and quicker to delete, which, combined with falling hardware costs means we’re able to offer these at this lower price. Not every use case requires super-fast IO, so why pay for additional disk IO and CPU cycles you don’t need?
Standard Cloud Servers have all the features you expect from Brightbox, such as Cloud IPs, Load Balancing across Zones and Cloud Firewalling.
Secondly, from 1st October we’re also reducing the pricing for our existing Cloud Server types by 20%, so they will start from just 2p per hour (approximately £14.60 per month). These server types will be added to our “High IO” tier, due to their suitability for high performance workloads and higher CPU allocation.
